Our Story

For over a decade, Allison Lipps has been a trusted and uplifting presence in the Montecito community. Having worked in senior care facilities across Santa Barbara and Montecito, she discovered her passion for engaging with seniors—bringing them joy, companionship, and a sense of purpose.

As a longtime Montecito resident, Allison has built deep connections throughout the community. Whether sharing laughter over a game of cards, encouraging friends at the Birnam Wood gym, or offering a kind presence at El Montecito Presbyterian Church, she understands what makes this community special.

Through these relationships, Allison recognized a growing need—many seniors in Montecito want to maintain their independence but could benefit from reliable, high-quality companionship.

However, families often struggle to find caregivers who are truly present, professional, and engaged. Too often, companions are late due to long commutes, distracted by their phones, or lack the communication skills and social awareness needed to foster meaningful connections. Additionally, most home health agencies focus primarily on medical care, treating companion services as an afterthought.

Allison envisioned something better—a service designed specifically for Montecito residents, by Montecito residents. A service where companions arrive polished and ready to accompany clients to Birnam Wood, the Montecito Club, or Lower/Upper Village, seamlessly integrate into a game of bridge when needed, and engage fully in social settings with professionalism and warmth.

With this vision, she founded Montecito Companion Care to provide personalized, high-quality companionship services tailored to the unique lifestyle and expectations of Montecito seniors.

At Montecito Companion Care, we believe aging independently doesn’t mean aging alone. Whether through engaging conversation, shared activities, or simply offering an extra hand, our mission is to provide warmth, connection, and unwavering support. With Allison’s dedication to the Montecito community, we are here to help local seniors live life to the fullest—one meaningful moment at a time.
